<19th Saturday> Activities at Vijayawada - Srinivas & Naresh from Hyd is also participating

From: ASWA Date: Wed, Jan 30, 2013 at 3:29 PM

Hi Friends,

I would like share my views on our Vijayawada Trip, as per Agenda we visited all the places. First of all, I would like convey our special thanks to Vani, Bhargavi, Hemanth & Vidya Sagar Garu for his valuable time and their dedication is very inspiring. Hemanth & Vidya Sagar Garu are busy with their professions but still extend their support in their free days.

Vani & Bhargavi are very interesting, enthusiastic & dedicated to do activities. They don't have experience and also looking for a Male Volunteer(s) to support them. So that they can do more.

Me & Naresh  was totally in surprise after receiving a very Valuable Gift from VANI, I thought to go for a poster of the same kind from last 1 year but I couldn't. Now after receiving this I felt universe granted (as  usual) what I am searching for. Our special thanks to Vani
After the visit of Kanakadurgamma Temple in the morning we meet Vidya Sagar Garu and have a fruitful discussion regarding Self developments through Service,
without which Service has no meaning.  Then we moved to the following….

ASHIRVAD TRUST: This is a home for Old age people. We met & have a chat with founder Sahajananda Swami. In General observation home has sufficient funds to run healthily.

SHAIK. BHAJI:  Previously we supported for his School Stationery. He is a very active Dumb & Deaf Student. We visited house. His sister is also become blind in couple of years back. Their Parents felt & few doctors said she is mentally retarded.  We asked for the Medical Certificates. They don't have any. AS per our observation she may not be an Special Child based on her abilities in identifying and understanding. We thought of taking her to a Specialized Doctor to confirm the same. Bhargavi & Vani will contact Vidya Sagar Garu & Dr. Hemanth for further help in this case.

MAMATHA ORPHANAGE HOME:  There are around 15 Children and 4 to 5 Old men & women. The Founder is an maintain a Tea Shop. With the help of her Daughter-in-law she is running his home in his house. We can take Weekly/Monthly classes here to teach few things to the children based on volunteers availability.

ZION BLIND HOME: Finally   We visited this home. After casual chat with Warden, we planned to conduct Competitions for Republic Day.

All the above have already visited by our VIJAYAWADA team member. So we didn't spend much time.

MEET:-  After completed lunch @ 4 Pm J, we had a very long meeting discussing what to do and how to go on with actitivities at Vijayawada. I have explained our Rules, Regulations & Procedures to them . It's a really fruitful meet.

Finally I can say that our Visit to Vijayawada is a successful and useful one to Me & Naresh and to Vijayawada Team also. The love & affections they poured on us is really unforgettable.

Thanks to one and all

Competetions at ZION Blind home and Republic Day Celebrations

Hi Amma Team-Vijayawada

To conduct any Single Competition to Students for the 1st time is a challenging task. That too 5 Competitions at a time in 1st instance to Visually  & Physically Challenged Students is a bit difficult task.

But Vani & Bhargavi you made it possible with your dedication, determination & Hard work with the help of other volunteers of Vijaywada and others who helped them online

Our Special Thanks to Secretary Sankar for spending time in guiding new volunteers at Vijaywada even in his very important & busy schedule.
