Food Distribution at Gandhi Hospital @ 24th July, 2011

Dear ALL,

Last Sunday (24th July, 2011) we distributed 20 Food Packets to patients at Destitute Shed of Gandhi Hospital under "ANNAM PARABRAHMAM PROJECT". On this project we are providing the food packets to the destitute in the Gandhi Hospital for every month.

Destitute Shed?
108 Ambulance will pick the destitute (people who are on roads and don't have any body to take care of) and join them in the hospital for treatment. If patients having attendees then they will look after the post treatment services, otherwise (if patient don't have anybody) these patients will be moved to Destitute Shed after initial basic treatment. This is a shed which can be only utilized for sheltering. It is constructed only for these destitute and hospital will not extend their any type of service to the people who are in this shed.

There are around 15 to 20 patients and condition of these patients is very pathetic condition some patients are in unconscious position and those are affected with cancer. Generally speaking we can't stay more than 5 min in that shed. But our volunteers did great job. We distributed food packets to the patients and for given juice to these unconscious patients.

From several years Mr. Rajesh was looking after these destitute (feeding, dressing the wounds etc.,) since last month, due to some problems he is not able to adjusting time for this. So here nobody is there to look after these.

They wanted some old clothes and Medicines for their dressing. We have purchased and they will be sufficient for 1 week.

We need to plan something to these patients. We can take help of Shilpa & Krishnaveni who are the NATCO Volunteers at this Hospital. Previously they assisted Mr. Rajesh and they are very useful resource for us to implant any.
