NGO for Physically challenged

Hello Friends,

In case of the "Physically challenged" boy (son of Hashami, water melon seller), I have an idea about a provider. You might have listened the name of "Sweekar-Upkaar". SWEEKAAR is a non-profit , non-commercial voluntary organization rendering services to Mentally Challenged, Mentally ill, Physically, Visually, Hearing Handicapped, Aged, Drug Addicts, Widows and Destitute for the past 32 years. They also provide Artificial limbs to Handicaps.

The main branch in Hyderabad is located near "Jubilee Bus Station" (JBS, Sec'bad) Picket, Sec'bad. If the candidate is taken there, they will check the condition and prescribe the kind of treatment to be given. Candidate needs to take that Prescription and go to their branch where they keep the artificial limbs. I know one of them which is located at "Bansilal pet" near Bible House. They would fix the artificial limb at very nominal cost in general and FREE OF COST for White ration card holders, after submitting the xerox copies
of the same plus few other formalities. They can provide light weight synthetic artificial limbs. but we need to specify or insist, else wooden or metal one is heavy and cause inconvenience to the candidates.

You may suggest the candidate to first visit the SWEEKAR UPKAAR main center and consult the doctors. They would suggest the remaining procedure. I think it would be good if the candidate is either taken or recommended by some organisation. It would add some weight age and get the work done promptly. I was personally involved in providing an artificial leg to a candidate before 3 years through the same procedure mentioned above. Hope it is same and works fine till now.

Good luck.

Appointed Tutor at Forum For Street Children

Hi all,

At last, we successfully appointed a Tutor at "Forum for Street Children" on 1st February, 2010. He will conduct study hours every day at 5.30 – 7.30 PM (except Saturday and Sunday).

Mr.Komaraiah is a meritorious semi orphan student with poor economical back drop. He got 85-90% academic record and is doing his B.S.C. 2nd Year.

Actually we thought of a qualified tutor but unable to find the same, as time is running (rather flying) with high speed like anything we decided to appoint him as a Tutor at least for these 3 months. Then will continue based on his performance.

Mr.Komaraiah is Confident Young guy who faced all the problems in life to survive and also for his studies. He knows the value of education. His mother is a servant maid.

By appointing him as tutor, we have two folded advantages. One is extending our financial help (Monthly Salary Rs.2,300/- to 2,500/-) to him and second one is got a Tutor with required qualities.

FFSC is full of children who addicted to their own way of life style without Discipline, management and other things. So the Tutor must have patience and service motto to change their attitudes.

We tried with several options and after consideration of many factors we decided to appoint him as Tutor. We advised him first only to concentrate on discipline and values and then other things (which will automatically follows).

We have observed him for few weeks and now it seems things are slowly changing. We are also announced prizes/Gifts for those who are following Tutor and distributing the same on every Friday or Monday.

Our aim is to change their basic attitudes by this academic year end (i.e. April) and start implementing new plans in order to make them excel in education from next academic year.

Thanks for your kind heated cooperation in all the way through and my special thanks to Mr.Alahari Suman & T.Uma Shankar for their efforts in finding, appointing a tutor and also for their regular follow up. We are also thankful to Simple Thoughts team for their help of forwarding Tutor Profiles.

In Tanker, they only do dialysis at free of cost, when the injections are provided by the patient. They will neither do any transplantation nor treat any other uro diseases.

Hi Suhasini and Prakash garu,

This is really a good idea. Utilizing the best opportunity to create
awareness among the people about our Earth and the importance of
protecting our Environment.

A small request. As there is a meeting in the morning, can we take up
this activity post lunch till night?

I shared this message with APEC forum too. We can take support from
ITC - WoW as they are collective dry waste. They accept plastic too
and in turn will give money @ 2 rs./4 rs. per kg.

I am ready to extend support in this regard and can pledge at least 5
volunteers from TMAD. Requesting other groups in BosF to pledge their
support.

Thank you.

with regards,
Prasanthi.

  • I request everyone to transfer the funds/donations/contributions to the above mentioned account only and stop the process of transferring the same to my personal account.

  • Just see the attached documents for Fund Transfer Registration Process (For ICICI account Holders). For other account holders also the process is same. But only point where we need to be careful is when selecting IFSC Code. There are more than 3 options available with Andhra Bank, S.R.Nagar address. But we only need to select IFSC Code -ANDB0000522

  • Please take receipts for any contributions (either by cash or bank) from the respective Volunteer, whom you handed over the amount.

26.01.10 Republic day Celebrations

Hi Team,

On this day we have participated in Republic Day celebrations of Govt.High School Jawahar Nagar, Yousufguda.

We have distributed Prizes to winners and participants of the Essay Writing and Elocution Competitions conducted by us on 29.12.09 last month. We have distributed Sankar Narayanan Dictionaries to winners and Runners and certificates to all the participants.

We have also distributed “CAREER PATH FINDER” ENLARGED COPY TO THE SCHOOL, which is very useful to high school students to the different courses available after their 10th class and also to choose different interested fields.

As Republic day celebrations are going on we have only 45 min time. So we hardly found time to address the children..

My Special thanks to Mr.K.Veera Bhadran, T.Uma Shankar, M.N.R.R.V.Srikanth, R.Srivalli, D.Prabha, Mr.Suresh, who made this event a grand success.
