Visit of Cherlapalli Open Jail on 30th June, 2013 to know the requirements of Prisoners & their families and to help them

Hi,

We have been doing very good despite the busy schedules. There has been a momentum recently and it is up to each one of us to keep the bell ringing.

As you all know, we visited Cherlapalli open air jail recently, thanks to the initiative of Prasanthi & Madhavareddy garu of BOSF. Around 20 Members visited the jail from different Group. Most of them are from ASWA.

  • We interacted with Prisoners and collect their requirements (check at the end of the mail or attachments)
  • We distributed Inspirational Books
  • We try to motivate them with our words
What we can do
  • Planning to go for Plantation & Green Awareness activities in the available open space
  • Planning to verify the requests received  and extend our support to as many based our funds status
It has been a very heartwarming experience to understand the hard realities; inspirational to meet an official who wants to go above and beyond call of duty in improving the lives of the people under his command and extremely happy to meet a living example of a person who has grown from rags to riches with sheer determination and enormous will power.

As shared in the mail (hope most of you have gone through them), the requirements are multi-folded and definitely within the reach of the spirited members of our forum.

I request the groups to come forward and share the responsibility in addressing these requirements. Let us serve the purpose of the visit.

I share my views and request the groups/members who are skilled in particular area to come forward to offer your support.

I request Venkatesh /Srinivas to coordinate the effort, to follow up and see to that the updates are shared. He is in loop for all the action that is taken by me post our visit to the jail.
